Jeff Wilser is a nationally-syndicated writer whose work has appeared in print or online in outlets including GQ, Esquire, Glamour, Cosmo, MTV, New York magazine, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, The Miami Herald, The Baltimore Sun, Detroit Free Press, and The Huffington Post.
Jeff is the author of three books: The Maxims of Manhood, The Man Cave Book, and It’s Okay to Sleep with Him on the First Date: and Every Other Rule of Dating, Debunked, which, according to Publisher’s Weekly, “Combines sage wisdom with refreshingly down-to-earth wit... this one’s a keeper.”
He collaborated with Marc Ecko, the founder of Ecko Unltd and Complex media, on his memoir Unlabel: Selling You without Selling Out which chronicles how the visionary entrepreneur turned $5,000 in cash into a billion dollar fashion and lifestyle empire. The book was published by Simon & Schuster in 2013.
Jeff has appeared on The View, The Tyra Banks Show, and other morning news programs. His article “I’m 34 and I’ve Never Been in Love” for Glamour was translated into Chinese for Self magazine, and his piece on hashtag abuse for New York magazine became the day’s most shared item on Digg. He is also the only guy on the planet to have written for both GQ and The Knot.
Jeff is the founding editor of ThePlunge.com where he has covered relationships, dating, bachelor parties, liquor, strippers, jealousy, and everything in between. His articles from The Plunge have been syndicated via McClatchy to a network of more than two hundred newspapers across the country. Esquire has called him a “Marriage Guru,” though in fact Jeff has never been married. He has also been identified as a “Relationship Expert,” although some of his ex-girlfriends might disagree.
