Yes, My Accent Is Real--and Some Other Things I Haven't Told YouKunal Nayyar

Kunal Nayyar"Hilarious and inspiring" —Entertainment Weekly

From Kunal Nayyar, star of the #1 TV comedy The Big Bang Theory, comes an untitled collection of humorous autobiographical essays drawing on Nayyar's experiences growing up in India, his years as a student in America, and his path to becoming a successful working actor.  Told in Nayyar's open, irreverent, engaging voice, the book’s themes will include his search for love and connection and his fish-out-of-water experiences navigating between two very different cultures.

Best known as astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali on the CBS sitcom which is currently in its seventh season, Nayyar is an Indian actor born in London, England, and raised in New Delhi, India. He has been a member of The Big Bang Theory ensemble since it debuted in 2007. A ratings powerhouse in its sixth season (2012–2013), The Big Bang Theory was the #1 most viewed scripted show in the 18–49 demographic on television, and the ratings leader in all of syndicated programming.

Said Nayyar, "I was born in London and brought up in New Delhi, India. I've cleaned toilets in Portland, been held up for 76 cents in Philadelphia, and my first acting job on TV was playing a terrorist. Also my father thinks he's James Bond and I once played a Star Wars board game for 36 straight hours. Then I married Miss India. So, why not write a book? It's the logical next step. Obviously."
